University classes
The KU Field Station is just 20 minutes from main campus and is equipped with a wide variety of settings and facilities to accommodate classes from all fields of study.
Nature Trail system
Our five-mile trail system, minutes from town yet a world away, is open to the public dawn to dusk every day. Interpretive signage at three trailheads and along the Rockefeller Prairie Trail helps tell the story.
Learn moreScience Sundays
Science Sundays is a monthly series of public talks at the KU Field Station. These free, public talks are held Sunday afternoons and cover a variety of science topics, including research taking place at the Field Station. Talks are intended for the general public — anyone who wants to learn more about science — but they may not interest younger audiences. You do not have to be a scientist to attend! Registration is capped at 40 each month.
